Winter Wonder
Catch Up
Since my last letter we have finished another wonderful summer, ran our first ever “Buckaroo Camp” and transitioned from our summer program to a brand new apprentice year! At the end of August, I was privileged to take some of the Ranch horses to the Crawford County Fair in which we were very successful; not just in placing but in reaching out to those in the horse show world. God taught me and continues to teach me about what it means to trust Him moment by moment, no matter where He has me. I may not understand the things God brings into my life but is says in Isaiah that His thoughts are not my thoughts, His ways are not my ways.
Right Now
We are currently into the Major phase of this years apprenticeship program. They can chose to either be a Programming Major or a Horsemanship Major. There is a very exciting aspect to the horse major program this year. We have a NEW INDOOR ARENA!!! God is continuing to bless this ministries in ways we could not foresee ourselves.
This is also my first year as an advisor and I have 2 apprentices, Hope Broskie and Nikki Knottnerus. It has been a great year thus far getting to know these two amazing girls and sharing my life with them and watching them grow into the women God has created them to be. Please pray that they continue to pursue their relationship with their Savior and listen to His voice.
God is continuing to show the staff here that this is His ministry and how much we can rely and trust Him to take this ministry where He desires. Recently, we have been growing together as staff in a way that we would have not been able to do on our own without God’s perfect plan playing out in our lives here at the Ranch. Praise God for who He is and that He cares for us in a way above and beyond our comprehension!
Looking Ahead
As usual, time is flying by and before we know it summer will be here and then graduation. Right now we are looking eagerly toward a busy winter and spring season. The next 2 months are packed with winter retreats, S.A.L.T., various other retreats and plenty of educational opportunities. Quickly following that we have spring break and then we roll into our ever busy spring season.
For myself, I feel very content where God has me and plan to stay here on staff at Miracle Mountain as the Horsemanship Director the next couple of years if that’s His will. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful ministry. Living here gives me the chance to live out my life in a place that I am constantly challenged to grow and press on toward the goal! I love my God!!!
Prayer requests:
~ Praise for the new group of apprentices and my first advisees!
~ Praise for God’s direction and developing of us as a staff family
~ Wisdom as I continue to disciple and mentor this years’ apprentices
~ That I would be willing to take risks in relationships and not hold anything back
~ That I will live each day wanting nothing but God! James 1:2-4
~ That I would be able to sell my horse, Lacy!
My support is up but only at 30%. I need to have $840/month. Please prayerfully consider supporting me at the ranch with your prayers or financially.
